My husband wears this basic brief in black. The department stores never have any in stock, or, if they do, there will be the occasional package in white. Judging by what I've seen, the current trend in mens' underwear seems to be a hybrid of the "boxer and the brief" which yields a sort of knit boxer. (My husband will only wear briefs.) I'm guessing here, but the "classic brief" is endangered and may be on the "to be discontinued list" at Calvin Klein and elsewhere. However, Amazon, proved to have some and though I paid for only, the standard shipping, I received the underwear within three days. The product is well made and the elastic and cotton knit material remain durable wash after wash.

CK briefs have been a favorite for years. Got the gray and white-with white waistbands. Most black underwear has white bands that I have seen. Very soft and comfortable.
Have not noticed any change in quality-excellent. Wash and wear well. Will update if we notice any problems.

I've been purchasing this Calvin Klein product for a few years now and needed more: two 3-packs. Amazon is a regular source for me so I checked there first, and verified that my purchase is eligible for free shipping. Then I looked around to see if any other place was cheaper and trustworthy. Amazon had the best price when free shipping was included in this calc. Local stores were MUCH more expensive and required travel to and from; other web stores were more expensive when shipping was included. Briefs are great and arrived promptly.

I have used these briefs before and have washed them in warm water and dried them in warm/cool dryer, which proved to be good. For some reason these recent ones shrunk more than they should have. They became too short in highth.
